Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control we have no choice but to cancel the upcoming marathon and half marathon. An event occurred recently which meant we could not guarantee that the event would take place as we had envisioned. We had received enough entries to date to make the race viable and were confident of attracting a lot more entries in the coming weeks. We have been trying desperately to rectify the problem that arose but at this stage feel it better to cancel this year’s event now rather than later.

We are determined that the race will take place next year and are planning to hold it at around the same time of the year. The expected date is Saturday 11th May 2013, but this date will be confirmed shortly. We are planning to open entry for the 2013 event in July.

Our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused, this decision was not taken lightly.
